The Freshman, Drum Tab

Hi there...To my knowledge, the drum parts for 'the freshman" were never written out or published... but the drum part is very basic... try using 'hot rods' instead of drumsticks.... the hot rods are a bunch of thin sticks of wood taped together.. you keep 16th notes on the snare drum, accenting the 'a' of beat one and beat four of each measure.. that is the basic groove for the tune...

1 e & (a) 2 e & a 3 e & a (4) e & a <in () are what you accent on the snare drum

the bass drum groove is simply beat 1, the and of 2 and beat 3

(1) e & a 2 e (&) a (3) e & a 4 e & a < bass drum groove in ( ) the 1 e & a... ect... is the subdevision of sixteenth notes in the song. and in the chorus.... the groove goes to half time... where the bass drum remains the same and the snare accents on beat 4 of each measure!!

I hope that helps! Michael
